The Mariposario del Drago, is located in Icod de los Vinos (Tenerife) next to the Millenary Dragon. Inside you will be able to enjoy watching more than 800 butterflies coming from the tropical habitats all over the world flying free around, you will see how they emerge from their pupae and you will learn all about their fascinating metamorphosis.

We are pleased to announce that the newest theme park on the Costa del Sol, Butterfly Park Benalmadena, is now open! Come and feel the experience of more than 1,500 butterflies from all over the world flying free around you in a tropical environment. The Butterfly Park Benalmádena is over 2,000 m2, the largest climate controlled space dedicated to butterflies, in Europe.

Mariposario de Benalmádena

The Mariposario has been built in Thai style in line with the Buddhist Temple which is located 100 m away and also by the spirituality symbolism that the butterflies have in the ancient oriental culture.

Butterfly Gardens

The landscaping of the garden plays the tropical habitat of these butterflies species. The waterfall, the pond, the wooden bridges and the fallen tree trunks are some of the element used for the naturalization of the flying area.
